Does Using Non-OEM (Compatible) Toner Void My Warranty?
The short answer is NO!
Actually, non-original equipment manufacturer toner (compatible) cartridges save your company money and are available for most all laser printers, including HP, Brother, and other brands. Using compatible toner cartridges will not void your laser printer’s warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act of 1975 prevents printer manufacturers from keeping you from using non-OEM toner cartridges. Non-OEM toner also doesn’t damage your printer’s internal and external components.
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act of 1975 states that it is illegal for a manufacturer to prevent you from using a non-OEM part or component within your laser printer. You can install and use any compatible non-OEM toner cartridge, including store brand toner and remanufactured and refilled toner cartridges. You can also use compatible toner cartridges from online outlets and online auction outlets without your printer’s warranty being voided.
As a matter of fact, most Non-OEM toner cartridges are usually equal to or higher in quality than OEM cartridges. Our Non-OEM cartridges carry 100% satisfaction warranties, and you can return the cartridges to us if a problem occurs. As always, it is critical to make sure you get the right cartridge for your laser printer, so read the cartridge’s technical specifications to check that the cartridge is compatible with your printer. Using the wrong toner cartridge can result in the cartridge not working or not working properly.
